Overview
The CSD Lead DACH is responsible for steering the mid and long‑term growth strategy, alongside the annual programs implementation and performance of PepsiCo’s Carbonated Soft Drinks (CSD) portfolio in DACH (Pepsi, Schwip Schwap – local brand, 7Up, Mountain Dew). This role owns the full category agenda — from shaping the 3–5 year plan based on IB strategies to executing annual strategies, driving brand equity, spearheading innovation, and partnering closely with key global and local stakeholders.
As a senior marketing leader, you will prepare the CSD portfolio for future growth, build a winning roadmap with a strong focus on No Sugar, and deliver breakthrough brand experiences that strengthen our market position. You will also play a pivotal role in shaping culture, elevating marketing capability, and leading your team to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Performance
- Deliver AOP goals (share of market, penetration, Net Revenue, Volume, Profit) for the CSD category in Germany.
- Lead the 3–5 year growth journey , developing strategic business plans in collaboration with COBO Europe Marketing Lead, Europe Create team and Global teams.
- Build and execute Must Win Battles , long-term brand growth strategies, Behavioral Growth Targets, and annual TCP campaigns.
- Reset and optimize the total CSD portfolio , identifying and building future blockbuster SKUs with a strong focus on No Sugar offerings.
- Provide strategic input into ICP (3‑year strategy) and AOP for both local and global partners.
Brand Building & Activation
- Develop locally relevant brand strategies and annual marketing plans , maximizing global insights and programs while tailoring execution for the DACH market.
- Drive the full innovation pipeline : design, development, planning, and launch of new products in line with PepsiCo’s internal processes.
- Ensure ROI‑driven media and activation planning , overseeing project timelines, budgets, and agency relationships (media, creative, research).
- Identify market opportunities, competitive dynamics, consumer insights, potential partners, and activation areas to deliver strong business results.
- Own all brand management decision‑making within agreed concepts, objectives, and budgets.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Commercialization, DX, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Media , and other local teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
- Build strong relationships within the Europe IB marketing network, to guarantee strategic input and support for the implementation of plans.
- Influence Global and local Leadership Teams, ensuring learnings are captured and activation plans are fully aligned and approved.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, providing clear objectives, KPIs, and development plans.
- Inspire, empower, and energize the team to consistently overdeliver and grow into future leaders.
- Drive the capability agenda for the DACH marketing team in partnership with the Marketing Director and HR, planning and tracking all training and upskilling initiatives.
- Role‑model a growth mindset , championing cultural change in brand strategy and communication planning.
Financial & Operational Accountability
- Manage A&M budgets for assigned brands.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation and continuous optimization of media and activation ROI.
- Maintain full accountability for agency management, supplier relationships, and project delivery (on time & in full).
Qualifications
- University degree or equal
- 10 years of relevant job experience in Marketing and commercial
- Consumer understanding & concept development
- Commercial project leadership skills
- Experience in bringing innovations into market
- Strong Leadership & Coaching skills
- Fluent Business English
