We are convinced, that various central banks will introduce a digital version of their currency, a so-called Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) like the digital Euro in the coming years. This will create an entirely new market for products and services that fit perfectly with Giesecke+Devrient\'s product portfolio. It especially requires and outstanding team to deliver a disruptive innovation of that magnitude. For this, we have set-up a team as an independent start-up within G+D advance52 GmbH that has a clear mission for growth and to create a substantial product business. During the next year we are scaling rapidly to meet market demands, and central in this scaling and structuring the new organizational setup is the role of the Engineering manager.

As Office Manager, you will be the central point of contact for all operational and administrative matters in our Munich office. You will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, support leadership and teams, and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture. While the role is operational in nature, we are looking for someone with strategic awareness and a deep understanding of how processes and people interact in a complex environment. You will work closely with internal teams and corporate functions, helping to build a scalable and efficient office infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Office Operations: Ensure smooth daily operations, manage office infrastructure, and coordinate with facility management, IT, and external service providers
• Administrative Support: Manage calendars, travel arrangements, and meeting logistics for the leadership team. Organize internal events and workshops
• Communication & Coordination: Act as liaison between A52 and corporate stakeholders. Welcome and host guests and partners
• Onboarding & HR Support: Coordinate onboarding for new employees and support HR-related processes such as time tracking and document handling
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in workflows, tools, and structures to enhance efficiency and collaboration
• Culture & Collaboration: Foster a positive and inclusive office culture. Support cross-functional collaboration and team engagement

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in office management, ideally in a corporate or start-up setting
• Strong organizational skills and a hands-on mentality
• Assertiveness and the ability to set and defend priorities
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
• Structured working style and attention to detail
• Cultural openness and experience working with international teams
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal sensitivity
• High level of discretion and reliability
• Systemic thinking and understanding of business processes
• Fluent in German and English

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience in working as an impactful Office Manager
• Experience in supporting scaling teams in a fast-growing startup or highly dynamic environment
• Familiarity with corporate structures and cross-functional collaboration
• Background in employee engagement and administrative process design are a plus
