Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle APEX Lead Developer on a fixed-term contract to lead the delivery of enterprise Oracle APEX solutions. In addition to hands‑on development and technical leadership, this role is responsible for proposing and defining Oracle APEX architecture , including environment setup, security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies, aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Development

• Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of Oracle APEX applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Oracle APEX developers.
• Define and enforce coding standards, development best practices, and governance.
• Design and develop complex SQL and PL/SQL objects (packages, procedures, functions, triggers).
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, testing oversight, and debugging.
• Ensure high standards of documentation (architecture, technical design, and operational guides).
• Provide production support and resolve complex application and database issues.

Architecture, Infrastructure & Environment Design

• Propose and design Oracle APEX architecture for development, test, UAT, and production environments.
• Define Oracle APEX installation and deployment models
• Design high availability, backup, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies for Oracle APEX and Oracle Database.
• Define backup policies, recovery procedures, and DR testing approaches.
• Ensure architecture aligns with security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Work closely with Infrastructure, DevOps, and Security teams to validate and implement proposed designs.
• Provide architecture documentation, including solution diagrams, environment layouts, and operational procedures.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Act as a technical liaison between business stakeholders, project managers, and IT teams.
• Support effort estimation, technical planning, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure solutions meet functional, performance, and security requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years of hands‑on Oracle APEX development experience.
• Proven experience in a Lead Developer or Technical Architect role.
• Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Solid experience with Oracle APEX architecture, installation, configuration, and administration.
• Experience designing backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APEX UI customization.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
