Your Job:
- Responsible scientist for the operation of the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) device
- Upgrade and development of the device for future projects
- Research on fusion relevant materials regarding composition and functionality
- Collegial cooperation on present topics and development of new projects in the field of material research for fusion applications
- Participation in international conferences (including presenting your research results) and preparation of scientific publications with Peer-Review
Your Profile:
- Completed university masters degree (physics/chemistry) with a PhD
- Strong knowledge and experimental experience in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy
- Suitability to work in a radiation protection area
- Ideally, experience with further methods in the field of surface characterization, especially in FTIR spectroscopy on surfaces, and/or knowledge in plasma wall interaction in fusion devices
- Excellent English language skills (spoken and written), German language skills are an advantage
- Programming skills would be beneficial
