Power System Engineer

Overview

A leading critical-power services provider is seeking an experienced Field Service Generator Engineer to join their field-based team covering the Frankfurt and wider Hessen region.

The company specialises in the maintenance and support of essential power systems, delivering solutions for both standard and bespoke applications. Supported systems include UPS units ranging from 1kVA to 1.6MVA and standby diesel generators from 5kW to 4MVA, across project values from small-scale works through to major multi-million-euro installations.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be a key customer-facing representative, supporting a high-performing service division. The position requires a proactive and organised engineer who is confident communicating with clients and subcontractors, prioritising tasks, and working to strict timeframes. Ensuring reliable service delivery and maintaining customer confidence is central to the role.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the maintenance, servicing, and repair of diesel generators.
• Knowledge of at least one major engine/generator manufacturer, such as:
• SDMO, FG Wilson, CAT, Cummins, MTU, Mitsubishi, Volvo, John Deere, Perkins, Doosan, Scania, or similar.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to attend customer sites across Frankfurt and surrounding regions.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota when required.
