Project Manager – IoT & Smart Metering (Berlin)

We’re looking for a driven Project Manager (IoT & Smart Metering) to lead the delivery of smart, connected energy systems across electricity, gas and heat. You’ll manage real‑world IoT deployments, translate complex technology into operational solutions, and help accelerate the digitalisation of the energy sector.

This is a hands‑on role with real ownership, visibility, and impact.

What you’ll do:

Lead end‑to‑end IoT and smart metering projects — from concept and planning through implementation, commissioning and handover.
Design scalable IoT architectures , working with technologies such as MQTT, LoRaWAN, NB‑IoT and cloud platforms to enable secure real‑time monitoring, control and diagnostics.
Deliver innovative energy use cases , including advanced metering concepts, digital energy platforms, integrated PV + battery systems, and smart building or community energy solutions.
Translate data into value by enabling analytics for forecasting, optimisation, asset performance and predictive maintenance, while maintaining GDPR compliance and data integrity.
Coordinate multiple stakeholders , including grid operators, technology partners, installers, and internal engineering, IT and commercial teams.
Oversee system deployment , ensuring quality installation, smooth commissioning, robust integrations and operational readiness.
Contribute to growth and innovation , identifying opportunities to expand IoT‑driven solutions, improve delivery models and strengthen partnerships.

What we’re looking for:

Solid experience working within IoT ecosystems , device integration and communication protocols.
Strong understanding of smart metering, energy systems or digital infrastructure projects .
Comfortable managing complex projects with multiple technical and commercial interfaces.
Able to communicate confidently with engineers, vendors, utilities and business stakeholders.
Bonus points for experience in:
- Cloud platforms, cybersecurity or data platforms
- Energy regulation or grid environments
- Agile or hybrid project delivery environments
