Position Title: Quality Assurance Intern

Role Summary

The Quality Assurance Student will support the UT Quality Team in enhancing data visibility, driving root cause investigations to support the Quality assurance pillar. You'll gain hands-on experience in quality management within an ISO 9001:2015-certified global environment, while applying your technical skills to real-world challenges.

As the Incoming Lead Quality Management Specialist, you will be responsible and accountable for:

• Supporting root cause investigations and problem-solving activities by ensuring transparent, accurate, and accessible data on all escapes.
• Designing and maintaining dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) to enable clustering data from multiple sources to uncover patterns and generate actionable insights.
• Building apps to support process adherence and improving quality records and audit trails.
• Collaborating with the Quality team to prepare and conduct internal and external audits.
• Supporting error analysis, stop work processes, and Customer Issue Resolutions (CIR).
• Supporting QEs and functions to maintain and improve procedures and documentations.
• Supporting rebranding and digitalisation initiatives within the Quality department.

To measure success in this role, the following key result areas and KPIs apply:

• Timely and accurate delivery of dashboards and reports.
• Reduction in overdue actions and improved closure rates.
• Improved visibility and traceability of quality data across departments.
• Increased engagement in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
• Successful completion of assigned data improvement projects.

Relevant KPIs

• OTD of own Non-Conformances and improvement initiatives as per milestones.
• VoiC Voice of the internal customer on the support received from quality.
• Effectiveness of non-conformance closure.
• First Pass Yield (FPY) of incoming materials – % of materials passing inspection on the first attempt.
• CAPA Implementation Rate – % of recommended adjustments implemented.
• Audit compliance/execution score – Performance in internal and external quality audits.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

• Enrolment in a university programme (preferably IT, software engineering, or related field).
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Familiarity with database management and data modelling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
• Ability to work on-site at the Huerth location.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to engage with cross-functional teams.
• Interest in quality management and continuous improvement.
