Quality Engineer, Software (m/w/d) - VZ/TZ

Overview

Supports the Associate Director in improving product development and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Key tasks include process improvement, problem-solving, CAPA support, and regulatory assessments. Requires engineering degree, 3–5 years in software development, and experience with quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001). Skills in C#, C++, Java, testing, FMEA, DFSS, and tools like Minitab are essential. Strong communication in German and English is needed.

About The Role

  • Support in implementing and improving development processes (Building Controls)
  • Take charge of and assist in problem-solving tasks through root-cause analysis and various methods and tools
  • Review and provide feedback on the tasks
  • Provide high-quality engineering support for new product builds and production processes, aligning with regulatory standards and QMS requirements
  • Support CAPAs
  • Conduct regulatory and compliance assessments and follow-up support
  • Supervise benchmarks to guarantee quality objectives are achieved

About You

  • Bachelor, or Master degree in engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working in the field of software development
  • Experience working within a Quality system (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, etc.)
  • Skillful in software development and testing (C#, C++, Java, and more)
  • Familiarity with an agile setting is advantageous

Knowledge And Skills

  • Strong technical understanding
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong quality awareness and attention to detail
  • Proficiency working in interdisciplinary teams
  • Effective communication skills in German and English
  • Expertise in software testing, risk management (FMEA), and problem-solving (e.g., 8D)
  • Knowledge of DFSS techniques and resources
  • Proficiency with analytical software like Minitab and MS-Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Familiarity with GMP/GaMP is advantageous
