Are you passionate about cutting-edge research in molecular and surface science and two-dimensional materials? Do you want to work in an excellent, interdisciplinary research environment at a leading German university? If so, we invite you to apply!
The Collaborative Research Center CRC1772 investigates quantum phenomena in heterostructures of molecules and two-dimensional materials. Our interdisciplinary consortium brings together research groups from Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and the Max Planck Institute in Hamburg. Our work combines physics, chemistry, and materials science — pushing the frontiers of quantum materials.
As a CRC researcher, you will become part of an excellent scientific network and have access to cutting-edge laboratories, and a wide range of professional opportunities. We are committed to family and academic life being compatible and promoting diversity and equal opportunity through a variety of support measures.
Build up the research infrastructure for extended microscopy/spectroscopy facilities of CRC1772. This will include validation of setups for work with solids, surfaces, and molecular-2D material heterostructures, the automatization of data acquirement, and study of their emerging response. Design and implement concepts for FAIR research data management according to rules of good scientific practice.
Master in Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
We are interested in a diverse research community and particularly encourage members of underrepresented groups to apply.
