Job Description

The Sales Director is a critical leadership position responsible for the Telematics team in Germany and the Netherlands. You will prospect, sell, and onboard new customers while developing marketing strategies and driving growth in the German market. The role is hands‑on, day‑to‑day, and requires regular travel to our Breda, Netherlands office. You will make key decisions about strategy, people, product proposition, and the full marketing funnel.

Your Daily Responsibilities

  • Budget‑level responsibility for the desk‑based telematics sales teams within Germany and the Netherlands
  • Create and define the marketing strategy to generate relevant and convertible opportunities
  • Manage the inbound lead‑generation marketing budget
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and learning and development across all operational levels
  • Conduct annual salary review programmes for all FTEs
  • Collaborate cross‑departmentally to refine and improve the customer journey
  • Regularly review management information to identify and act on areas of improvement against the department budget
  • Utilise the CRM tools to create plans that impact key business performance indicators
  • Report back to leadership on department successes and challenges
  • Implement a succession plan by developing talent while seeking best‑in‑class hires
  • Coordinate, consolidate, and sign off monthly commission submissions for the department
  • Engage your team on KPIs that impact the wider group, such as cross‑sell initiatives
  • Utilise and improve the effectiveness of the Salesforce CRM within the operation

Qualifications

  • Experience in a senior B2B sales management role of 5 years or more
  • Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and business CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • Demonstrated common‑sense problem‑solving in a sales environment
  • Ability to manage own workload and support managers
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decision‑makers and non‑decision‑makers
  • Excellent team‑building skills and the capacity to build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Enthusiastic self‑starter driven by the intent to succeed and achieve company goals
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage a large workforce with creative ideas
  • Capacity to work independently with commercial acumen and resilience
