SAP FICO Application Consultant

• Several years’ experience working as an SAP FI/CO Consultant.
• Strong functional expertise in SAP FI and CO modules, including configuration/customising and end-to-end process understanding.
• Good working knowledge of related SAP modules, particularly MM and SD, including cross-functional dependencies.
• Experience analysing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions, including design, implementation and documentation.
• 2nd and 3rd line user support.
• Experience collaborating with developers on complex technical developments and debugging activities.
• Proven experience managing external service providers and supporting budget management activities within an FI/CO environment.
• Experience contributing to financial period-end processes, including monthly, quarterly and annual close activities.
• Ability to produce technical concepts, functional specifications and user documentation.
• At least B2 level written and spoken German.
• SAP FI and/or CO certification.
• Programming knowledge in ABAP.
• Advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience delivering user training and promoting knowledge sharing across teams.
• Experience in vendor coordination and stakeholder management within a complex SAP environment.

About the Role

• Support, maintain and continuously improve SAP FI/CO modules within an SAP Application Management environment.
• Analyse, design and implement business requirements across finance and controlling processes.
• Perform SAP FI/CO configuration/customising and maintain full technical documentation.
• Work closely with developers and business stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Coordinate with adjacent SAP modules (MM and SD) to ensure integrated process performance.
• Manage and oversee external service providers while supporting budget planning in the FI/CO area.
• Help ensure stable and reliable financial closing processes in partnership with finance teams.
• Take ownership of defined FI/CO processes and contribute to sub-project delivery.
• Act as a key point of contact for users, providing expert support and driving continuous improvement.
• Share specialist knowledge with colleagues and contribute actively to collaboration and knowledge exchange across the organisation.
