Location: Nuremberg or Bad Homburg, Germany (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior ABAP Developer with a strong background in Software Architecture to join our client in the fintech and payment processing industry. The ideal candidate will work on S/4 HANA migration projects, ABAP development, and integration tasks, while providing production support and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement business process architecture on S/4 HANA for Settlement and Billing.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using ABAP and ABAP-OO, including Modulpool, Batch-Input, and RESTful APIs on Fiserv‑owned applications (SAP ECC 6.0 EHP8).
• Implement S/4 HANA migration amendments and updates on existing applications.
• Conduct developer tests, fix defects, and manage incidents.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot application issues.
• Collaborate with functional teams; FI/CO knowledge is a plus.
• Work on SailPoint integration (ECC and S/4), including analysis and cleanup of roles and users.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in ABAP development and SAP software architecture.
• Strong expertise in ABAP/ABAP-OO programming.
• Experience with S/4 HANA migration projects.
• Knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 EHP8 and Fiserv applications.
• Ability to perform developer tests and handle production support.
• Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
• Bonus: Light FI/CO functional knowledge and SailPoint integration experience.
