Senior Accountant | Multinational Company | Hamburg

Our client, a multinational Hamburg-based company, is seeking a talented senior accountant. The role reports directly to the Finance Director.

Senior Accountant Main Tasks and Areas of Responsibility:

• Managing the accounting of all current business transactions.
• Posting wages and salaries in coordination with external payroll accounting.
• Overseeing asset accounting and preparing asset statements.
• Conducting VAT checks and preparing monthly VAT advance returns.
• Processing reminders in the accounts payable area.
• Supporting the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements (IFRS and HGB).
• Monitoring and coordinating accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting.
• Acting as the contact person for auditors, tax advisors, consultants, and tax authorities.
• Administering the DIAMANT accounting software.
• Overseeing travel expense accounting.
• Monitoring and processing payment transactions both domestically and internationally.
• Coordinating financial accounting data with controlling.
• Creating statistical reports.

Profile:

• Commercial qualification as a financial accountant or a graduate degree in business administration.
• Several years of professional experience as an accountant.
• Strong time management and quick comprehension skills.
• Fluency in English and conversational German.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
