Senior Accountant (Netsuite)

A fast-growing FMCG company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding finance team. The company operates across multiple European countries and the USA, selling through e-commerce platforms, pop-up stores, and retail locations. Experiencing significant growth, it continues to expand its operations and offerings.

The finance function is transitioning from a fully outsourced model to a growing in-house team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in this transformation, taking ownership of operational accounting processes and supporting the smooth running of the department. The team currently includes a Head of Accounting, two mid-level accountants, and two junior accountants, with freelance support being phased out.

This is a full-time position in Germany with a hybrid working model, requiring a minimum of three office days per week. The salary is up to €75,000, depending on experience. The company seeks someone who can start immediately and take ownership of critical finance tasks, making a tangible impact on its finance operations during a pivotal stage of growth.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and cost accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Oversee revenue bookings and reconciliation tasks across multiple entities
• Support ERP-related financial activities, particularly the upcoming NetSuite implementation
• Provide guidance and mentorship to mid-level accountants on operational processes
• Streamline workflows to meet tight month-end closing deadlines
• Collaborate with ERP implementation partners to ensure accurate system setup and reporting
• Take ownership of critical finance tasks and assist in transitioning the department from outsourced to in-house operations

Desired Qualifications

• Proven experience in goods, inventory, and cost of goods sold accounting
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, with NetSuite experience highly desirable
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English; German is a plus, particularly for liaising with tax authorities
• Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience in a high-growth or multi-entity company is an advantage
