Key Responsibilities

• Isolate, disconnect, and reinstate MV terminal connections associated with GRMUs in accordance with approved switching procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Coordinate safe shutdown, LOTO, and re-energisation of MV systems in compliance with site safety rules and OEM requirements.
• Inspect, re-terminate, and verify MV cabling and terminations, ensuring correct phasing, torque settings, and insulation integrity before reconnection.
• Carry out functional testing and validation of GRMU communication and control interfaces following reconnection, supporting commissioning and fault resolution activities.

Qualification

• Current Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status for 11kV–33kV (or relevant MV range) under a recognised safety rules system (e.g. DNO, ICP, or equivalent).
• Proven experience performing HV/MV switching operations, including isolation, earthing, and restoration.
• Demonstrable experience with permit-to-work, LOTO, and safety documentation for energised and de-energised systems.
• Hands‑on experience with MV cable terminations, testing, and commissioning.
• Experience working on data centre, utility, or critical infrastructure electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of: MV switchgear and protection systems / Phasing and insulation testing / OEM commissioning procedures
• Ability to lead and coordinate safe shutdown and re‑energisation activities across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience supporting commissioning, fault finding, and system validation.
