We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to advance AI automation and LLM-driven innovation across the Conrad Group. You’ll design and refine ML and LLM solutions that enhance customer and partner experiences, working closely with international teams to turn complex business problems into smart, data-driven outcomes. This position is ideal for someone eager to shape the future of applied AI at scale in a fast-moving, data-driven environment.

We offer a hybrid working set-up in Hirschau, Munich, Berlin or Krakau.

Your contribution to success

• Work in an international delivery team that builds world-class machine learning models for the Conrad Group.
• Take ownership of implementing ML models to improve real-time customers' and partners' experience.
• Contribute to the impact of AI at Conrad by enabling data-driven decision support.
• Define and continuously optimize your models using KPIs.
• Develop and deploy AI-powered automation workflows combining traditional ML with modern LLM capabilities.
• Implement RAG systems using cloud AI platforms and integrate them with existing data infrastructure.
• Create proof‑of‑concepts for AI use cases identified across the organization.

Your success factors

• M.Sc. (or Ph.D.) in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a relevant field.
• 3+ years of practical experience as a Data Scientist.
• Proven track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
• Experience communicating findings and recommendations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Good understanding of Python and its ecosystem, especially frameworks oriented to data science such as NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit‑learn.
• Experience with vector embeddings, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) techniques, and integration with vector stores (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, AlloyDB).
• Experience with prompt engineering across various LLM providers, few‑shot learning, and LLM grounding.
• Experience designing and implementing multi‑agent systems with Python libraries such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or no‑code tools such as n8n, Zapier, or Make.
• German language is a plus; fluent English is necessary.
