The Labor Relations & Tariff Policy department is responsible for the areas of tariff policy and strategy, as well as working conditions for various business units within DHL Group. We represent the employers interests, particularly in dealings with trade unions, and conduct negotiations. Senior Expert (m/f/d) 54A1-17 / AT nltd Level 2 (BesGr A 14 / A 15) Key Responsibilities: Industrial Relations Senior Specialist (m/f/d) Lead collective bargaining negotiations for assigned group companies, including comprehensive preparation and follow-up, as well as holistic labor and collective law advice to management in the context of collective agreements. Responsibility for preparing collective bargaining negotiations: Clarify requirements with the affected group company Identify and assess potential union demands and negotiation risks (e.g., strike consequences) based on market and environmental analyses Develop negotiation strategies and align them with decision-makers Organize and conduct preparatory meetings with companies and internal subject matter experts Independent leadership of collective bargaining negotiations: Schedule and moderate initial and follow-up meetings with unions and the respective group company Independently conduct negotiations based on the pre-agreed strategy with the respective company Achieve results while safeguarding the companys interests and objectives Closely coordinate with the second negotiator to ensure a consistent approach Advise and support group companies during warning strike actions Responsibility for post-negotiation activities: Draft the collective agreement text and transmit it to unions and companies Ensure registration in the collective agreement register Coordinate and review communication measures for internal stakeholders, including communicating results to top management Act as a point of contact for companies regarding interpretation issues and general legal questions in the context of collective agreements Professional Qualifications: Completed law degree (Second State Exam) as a fully qualified lawyer (m/f/d), ideally with a focus on labor law and/or relevant specialist attorney training Honors degree advantageous Extensive professional experience in individual and collective labor law, gained in a corporate legal department or a specialized law firm Several years of experience in conducting negotiations, ideally in the context of collective bargaining Excellent knowledge of collective and individual labor law Very good German and good English skills Personal Qualifications: Strong analytical and conceptual skills Excellent communication skills tailored to the audience Pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset and working style Decisiveness and ability to handle conflicts Strong negotiation skills, persuasiveness, and assertiveness Resilience and stress tolerance Confident and professional demeanor at all levels Willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis (approx. 25%) Applicant Information: Please apply online via the application link in the job posting with your complete documents (CV, cover letter, and certificates).
