Contribute across the full technology stack of backend development from infrastructure, databases, backend-development to automation and deployments. As a Software Developer, you will work in an agile cross-functional team across two locations with the Product Owners, Designers, and Software Testers to drive our online shops and other digital products forward.

This includes

1. Backend Application Development in our E-Commerce Platform and affiliated backend services
2. Concept data models and application design
3. Implement complex business logic
4. Design, build and document RESTful APIs
5. Design data flow and implement interfaces for asynchronous and synchronous system interconnectivity
6. Creating Unit and Integration Tests
7. Consulting the Product Owners in architectural and technological decisions to ensure that we stay on the leading edge of technology

Main requirements

1. At least 5 years of software development experience in agile teams
2. 3+ years of experience designing scalable Java systems
3. Broad experience with all kinds of concepts for synchronous and asynchronous system interconnectivity such as JMS, Kafka, REST, SOAP
4. Experience in frameworks to design and document RESTful APIs such as Swagger
5. Good understanding of contract testing frameworks such as PACT
6. Working knowledge of tools like Gulp, npm, Jenkins
7. Working knowledge of DevOps, Docker, NGINX

Nice to have

1. German language skills
2. Ecommerce experience
3. Experience with Hybris or comparable shop-systems
4. Knowledge of Apache Solr
