Senior MES Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MES Consultant to support, design, and optimize large-scale manufacturing IT/OT environments. You will work closely with production teams and technology stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable MES solutions for high-tech manufacturing—ideally aerospace. Primary Location: Hamburg, Nordenham, Bremen & Augsburg Your Responsibilities✔ Support, develop, and optimize complex MES solutions integrating IT & OT ✔ Gather business requirements; prepare technical design documentation ✔ Manage deployment and release cycles ensuring seamless execution ✔ Design MES solutions aligned with enterprise architecture ✔ Collaborate with architects, developers, and production leaders ✔ Lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team members ✔ Ensure scalability, performance, security & reliability of MES systems ✔ Maintain solution documentation, maintenance plans, & upgrade roadmaps ✔ Contribute to internal knowledge sharing & team development What You Bring🎓 Degree in Engineering / Computer Science (or relevant field) 🧠 8+ years experience in MES and manufacturing environments ✈️ Aerospace industry experience preferred 🛠 Strong experience in:MES platforms (SAP ME/MII, MOM, etc.)Manufacturing shop-floor systems (PLC, SCADA, OPC)Machine/system integration & IIoT devicesSAP modules (PP, MM, SD, WM) integration knowledge 🏭 Deep understanding of discrete manufacturing processes 🗣 Excellent communication skills with business & technical teams 🌍 Fluent German & English 🚗 Willingness to travel within Germany
