Role Overview

This position reports to the Senior Engineering Manager. We are looking to appoint a Senior Project Engineer within the area of Drive Applications. Depending on your level of experience, you will be responsible for planning, designing, engineering, commissioning, and testing electric drive systems, including customized products fitted to mills, high‑pressure grinding rolls, conveyors, fans, and pumps used in the minerals processing industry. The work model for the role is #LI‑Hybrid, contributing to the Process Industries division in Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities

• Design or co‑design technical solutions for electric drive systems, including clarification and coordination of all relevant engineering aspects during project execution.
• Conduct cost streamlining and ensure project targets are met in full, in addition to carrying out inspections and performing factory acceptance tests.
• Oversee or assist with commissioning and maintenance of drive systems at customer sites worldwide, including troubleshooting.
• Issue and review technical specifications and data sheets, project documents, and customer documentation in close cooperation with the Team Leader for cost, schedule, and quality management, thereby improving profitability and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical and/or Automation Engineering with an emphasis on Power Electronics/Drive Technology (essential for candidates with no prior work experience).
• 3‑5 years of experience in drive technology (or graduate without work experience for a junior role).
• Technical knowledge of drive system engineering and experience in commissioning and service activities.
• Well‑developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a multicultural environment.
• Strong command of English at a technical/engineering level (both written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel on global commissioning and service assignments to remote sites (approx. 25% of working hours and up to several weeks per assignment).
