Site Finance Manager (m/w/d)
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced finance leader for our Munich site. This pivotal role acts as the head of finance for the Munich site and is accountable for all aspects of finance for the Munich site – on‑site financial leadership, controlling, compliance, planning and reporting. You will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy while ensuring operational excellence, influencing senior‑leadership decisions, modernising financial systems and driving sustainable growth in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Act as the financial representative on the site steering committee (Geschäftsleitung)
- Drive attainment of financial targets and advise on strategies to enhance growth and productivity
Financial Governance & Compliance
- Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
- Maintain integrity of the balance sheet and oversee audits (financial and tax)
- Monitor adherence to internal group approval guidelines
Planning & Analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning (annual and 5‑year)
- Deliver management reporting including month‑end close, weekly trading updates and cash reporting, quarterly planning and annual budgeting
- Conduct variance analysis and implement corrective measures
Systems & Process Optimization
- Modernise internal finance systems in line with group strategy
- Drive efficiency and accuracy in reporting processes
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop a small, high‑performing finance team
Your Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance and controlling within an industrial company or audit firm
- Proven leadership experience with ability to influence senior stakeholders
- In‑depth knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards
- Strong technical and system skills – exposure to SAP and financial consolidation tools (Hyperion, OneStream, or similar)
- Fluent in German and English written and spoken
- Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
