Job Description

As an IT Project Manager at IGEL Technology, you will lead cross‑functional IT‑related projects that support the company’s infrastructure, business applications, and digital transformation. You will work closely with stakeholders from IT, Security, HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure project success in a dynamic and fast‑changing environment.

This position is ideal for a structured and solution‑oriented project manager with hands‑on experience in managing IT infrastructure or system‑related initiatives. You’ll be part of the PMO, apply standardized processes, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of project execution at IGEL.

Key stakeholders and team members are located in the US (East and West Coast) and Germany (Augsburg and Bremen), requiring effective international collaboration and, in some cases, engagement with third‑party business partners.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Manage internal IT projects (e.g., system implementations, process automation, migrations, hardware rollouts, security initiatives)
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and risk registers
• Coordinate cross‑functional project teams and align stakeholders
• Ensure transparent communication and clear expectations throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and milestones
• Identify risks and issues early and ensure escalation and resolution paths
• Ensure alignment with IT strategy and compliance standards
• Conduct post‑project evaluations and capture lessons learned
• Apply IGEL’s PMO standards, tools, and reporting structures in all projects

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in project management or coordination within an IT context
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, system landscapes, and digital workflows
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
• Strong organizational skills and structured approach to problem‑solving
• Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)
• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Confluence, MS Project or similar
• Experience working with internal departments and external vendors/partners
• Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and manage shifting priorities
• Willingness to be present at the Augsburg office 2–3 days per week
• Experience with IT change management, ITSM, or cloud‑related projects
• Knowledge of security, compliance, or GDPR‑related project environments
