Job Overview

We are seeking a Specialist Solution Engineer, also known as a "Pre‑sales Consultant," to serve as a solution advisor in the sales cycle. The role is based in the EMEA Central Solution Engineering team and focuses on Service Cloud for the Germany and Austria regions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery workshops and technical discussions with clients to gather needs, identify pain points, and propose effective Service Cloud solutions.
  • Deliver product, technical, and security‑related responses on RFPs/RFIs.
  • Build and present appealing demos of Salesforce Service Cloud products, including solution concepts, to key decision‑makers to address their business issues and demonstrate value.
  • Keep up‑to‑date with technology trends and Salesforce products to maintain vital knowledge for the role.
  • Lead the solution side of the sales cycle.
  • Show a strong curiosity about career growth and participate in internal training programs and mentorship initiatives.
  • Have willingness and flexibility to travel as needed, mainly in the DACH region.

Required Qualifications

  • Understanding of customer business requirements in the service context across multiple industries, and ability to translate those needs into a compelling vision and roadmap.
  • Track record of 5+ years in solution engineering, consultancy, delivery or training within a software solutions organization.
  • Confirmed time‑management skills in a dynamic team environment.
  • Inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and knowledge sharing.
  • Strong research skills, enjoying deep dives into topics and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Existing Salesforce product knowledge and certifications is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Solid understanding of AI, data, automation, generative AI strategy, and LLM‑based autonomous agents.
