Strategic Raw Materials Manager (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Strategic Raw Materials Manager who understands procurement as a value driver, a risk management function, and a long-term partnership business.

Your responsibilities

Develop and implement the raw material procurement strategy for several European production sites
Monitor and assess global raw material markets, price developments, risks, and opportunities
Select, manage, and further develop strategic supplier partnerships
Prepare, lead, and document contract and price negotiations
Establish clear framework agreements, KPIs, and standards across sites
Initiate and drive cross-site sourcing initiatives
Work closely and solution‑oriented with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Legal
Identify supply and cost risks at an early stage and define pragmatic mitigation measures
Support sustainability and innovation initiatives along the supply chain

Your profile

University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Supply Chain, or comparable
Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in the chemical or process industry
Proven experience in price negotiations, supplier management, and sourcing projects
Solid understanding of raw material markets, cost structures, and TCO
Experience working in an international, cross‑site environment
Structured, self‑driven working style with clear and pragmatic communication
German – business fluent
English – business fluent
French and/or Spanish are a plus
