Job Description

The SRL provides strategic security and crisis response services to all cross‑sector J&J companies in the subregion Europe Central‑East. The Subregional Security Lead (SRL) Europe Central‑East reports to the J&J Global Security Senior Regional Security Director EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Crisis Response and Employee Support: Develop crisis response and employee support plans based on plausible or effective crisis scenarios; core member of the country crisis management teams (CMT); support local emergency plans; overall coordination of employee support actions including evacuations, relocations, repatriations, emergency housing, care packs, tracking and accounting.
  • Strategic Security Strategy: Develop and implement an annual subregional security strategy in alignment with the Global Security Priorities and the EMEA strategy.
  • Multi‑Year Strategic Masterplan: Develop and present a multi‑year Strategic Masterplan for the subregion.
  • Security SPOC: Act as the single point of contact for local and sub‑regional business leadership.
  • Government and Audit Representation: Represent J&J GS for security related topics during government inspections and J&J audits.
  • Travel Security Program: Support the travel security program (e.g., assess safe hotel accommodations, transportation, restaurants).
  • Internal Investigations: Conduct internal investigations (e.g., theft, workplace violence, employee misconduct).
  • HR and Business Support: Support HR and Business leadership during high‑risk employee separations and rightsizing projects.
  • Site Security: Perform security risk and gap assessments; evaluate and determine the site risk level; liaise with local law enforcement; track performance through monthly review of J&J Global Security KPIs; represent Global Security at the global guarding services contract OMT governance level; supervise operations; monitor performance; perform gap assessments and supervise completion of gap mitigation plans; represent Global Security at the RSOC services contract SMT (SOC Management Team) governance level.
  • Cost Optimization: Evaluate and present cost optimization opportunities and capital projects to business stakeholders.
  • Event Security: Conduct security risk assessments for large or high‑risk meetings and events to include hotels, restaurants, transportation routes, etc.
  • Executive and Travel Protection: Coordinate executive and travel protection assignment coordination.
  • Private Residence Security: Conduct security assessments for private residences of business leaders and expats based in high‑risk areas and provide security recommendations.
  • Real Estate Advisory: Advise the J&J Real Estate team on the selection of new property location.
  • Security Culture: Develop and maintain a Security culture among employees and contractors.
  • Voice of the Customer (VOC) Surveys: Coordinate regular internal VOC surveys to obtain feedback from key business stakeholders on the quality and satisfaction of the overall security services as well as evaluating their expectations.
  • Senior Leadership Forums: Represent Global Security in senior leadership forums, board‑level meetings, and public engagements.
  • External Network: Establish and maintain an external network consisting of law enforcement agencies, external security committees, industry peers, US Embassy RSO’s, key security vendors, etc.
  • SME Support for Security Projects: Review and approve security design plans for new sites and buildings, renovation projects, etc.; ensure compliance with the J&J Global security minimum standards and technology; liaison with local business and FM for issue resolution.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Must Have) or Master’s Degree (Preferred) in Criminology, Police Sciences, Forensic Sciences, Security Management or equivalent through experience.
  • MBA (plus).
  • Other Programs: ASIS Member or equivalent (desired); CPP–PSP certification is a plus.

Experience

  • At least 10 years in a corporate security management role, preferably in a multi‑national environment.
  • Having operated in the subregion Europe Central‑East.
  • Proven and successful track record in crisis management and response; project management and execution; physical security strategies and techniques; security systems and technology; innovation and optimization projects; internal investigations; root‑cause analysis; security risk management; conduction security assessments and mitigation plan development; KPI performance management; event security; executive protection tactics and execution; security awareness program development and implementation; internal and external network development.
