Job Description Summary
As a Supplier Quality Engineer (w/m/d), you will improve BD Rowa product quality by reducing non‑conformance rates of supplied parts. You will lead supplier complaint handling, root cause analysis, and implementation of CAPA using 8D, SCAR, CAPA, 5W, and Ishikawa. You will drive problem‑solving activities externally with suppliers and internally across functions, and participate in supplier audits according to ISO 9001.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform Supplier Quality Risk Assessments and Classifications.
- Prepare, negotiate, and implement Quality Assurance Agreements based on supplier risk classification.
- Define requirements for Receiving Inspections and participate in the sample approval process with Supply Chain and R&D.
- Analyze and evaluate supplier quality performance and contribute to supplier performance evaluations with Procurement.
- Assess and handle supplier change requests.
- Perform and manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities in collaboration with Procurement and R&D to ensure supplier readiness and compliance with BD specifications.
- Manage sorting activities related to supplier quality rejects.
- Maintain compliance on Supplier Quality activities for all sourced suppliers.
- Participate in supplier audits in accordance with ISO 9001.
- Follow up on non‑conformities and CAPAs related to quality processes.
- Support document control processes including issue, approval, review, and retention of quality‑related documents.
- Ensure outsourced services are executed per internal procedures.
- Promote quality awareness across teams and ensure adherence to BD’s Quality Management principles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulated environment.
- Proven experience with problem‑solving methods (CAPA, 8D, 5W, Ishikawa).
- Experience with auditing techniques and supplier management.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
Desirable Skills
- Fluent in German and English (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Familiarity with measurement equipment and inspection tools.
