Team Lead Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d) – München

As a Team Lead Fullstack Engineer, you will guide a cross‑functional development team in Cluj, shaping the technical direction while contributing hands on to the product. In this role, you are part of the core product team – working directly on the heart of our platform, close to real customer needs and at the pulse of everything we build.

You will help our engineering culture grow, ensure technical excellence and deliver software that truly improves our customers’ daily work.

Lead and mentor a cross‑functional engineering team, fostering ownership, clarity and continuous improvement.

Design and review scalable architecture components, including APIs, data storage and system integrations.

Plan, implement and deliver new features and workflows using our core stack (Java/Spring, React, Kafka, AWS).

Ensure engineering excellence through code reviews, testing best practices and high‑quality delivery.

Contribute hands‑on to frontend or backend development where needed (React & Java).

Drive technical R&D initiatives such as OCR, automated bank matching or workflow automation.

Understand and translate complex business processes into reliable, user‑centric software solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, in Java backend (Spring or JEE) and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
• Strong skills in designing scalable systems, efficient data storage (SQL/NoSQL) and REST APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software quality, testing strategies (BDD/TDD) and clean code principles.
• Ability to analyse complex workflows and turn them into well‑structured technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in an international environment.
• Passion for mentoring and supporting engineers, improving team practices and technical decision‑making.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a startup/scale‑up environment.
• Knowledge of container technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS).
• Experience acting as a Scrum Master or improving agile development processes.
