As the Team Lead for Product Operations within the Infrastructure Unit, you drive the evolution of Shopware’s CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and release management processes. You lead a cross-functional team that bridges infrastructure and development, ensuring efficient, reliable, and scalable software delivery. This position can be filled on-site, hybrid, but also full-remote within Germany or specific European countries where we are registered. Your work location will be agreed upon in advance and forms the basis of your employment contract. These are your tasks:In this position, you take ownership of the Product Ops team and its mission to optimize Shopware’s software delivery lifecycle. By combining strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise, you ensure smooth, secure, and scalable processes that empower our engineering organization.You lead and mentor a cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance, and growth-oriented culture.You maintain and continuously evolve Shopware’s CI/CD pipeline, ensuring efficient, secure, and scalable workflows across our products.Through the use of automation tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and ArgoCD, you streamline processes and improve delivery speed.Overseeing release management, you ensure that deployments are smooth, timely, and high quality.You contribute hands-on to PHP-based projects, maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability.You promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and establish best practices in observability, incident management, and reliability.Working closely with development and infrastructure teams, you align technical solutions with business objectives and strategic priorities.You continuously refine engineering processes, reducing bottlenecks and enhancing delivery performance.By communicating progress, challenges, and priorities clearly, you ensure transparency for stakeholders and leadership.You also make sure that documentation, design specifications, and knowledge bases are properly created and maintained across the team. This is what you’ll bring to the table:With over eight years of relevant professional experience, including at least two years in a team lead or technical leadership role, you bring both technical depth and leadership experience.Your proven track record in CI/CD strategy, automation, and tooling – including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and ArgoCD – enables you to shape modern delivery systems effectively.A strong hands-on background in PHP helps you guide technical discussions and set high standards for development and testing practices.You have extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud environments such as AWS.A solid understanding of release management, version control, and deployment workflows allows you to design processes that are both reliable and efficient.You excel at mentoring, empowering teams, and fostering engineering excellence through a supportive leadership approach.A strategic mindset and data-driven problem-solving skills help you identify opportunities for process optimization and long-term improvement.You communicate clearly and proactively, align technical initiatives with company goals, and promote cross-team collaboration.A proactive, collaborative attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation define how you lead.
