The "IT Operations" department at the Würzburg site operates, administers, and monitors the entire IT infrastructure and all IT processes of the Pension Insurance Data Center (DSRV) as well as central services for all pension insurance providers. The "Server and Infrastructure Services" team provides the operating systems, directory services, and data backup for the department based on a virtualized x86 architecture.

Your tasks

• Managing the IT operations team for servers (Linux and Windows) and operating system-related services
• Assuming personnel and technical responsibility for a team currently consisting of 10 members.
• Actively shaping team and departmental development.
• Supporting the implementation and follow-up of change processes.
• Actively applying management tools for personnel development and occupational health management
• Representing the department in internal and external working groups, specialist groups, and committees

Your profile

• Completed vocational training in the IT field or a university degree (bachelor's, diploma) in the IT field or an equivalent qualification (e.g., an IT-specific qualification) or comparable practical experience in the IT field.
• Several years of professional experience in the IT field, ideally in operating system administration.
• Initial experience in the technical management of teams or project teams
• Knowledge of coordinating and controlling work processes and monitoring work results
• An analytical and structured way of thinking and working, strong communication skills, empathy, and a solution- and process-oriented approach round off your profile
