Technical Application Engineer – Support

This leading technology company urgently seeks a Technical Application Engineer for their technical and customer support group based out of their R+D Centre in Heidelberg.

The Technical Application Engineer will be working remotely as part of a small, high calibre, team supporting leading-edge testing products for serial protocols including PCIe, USB, HDMI, Displayport, Bluetooth etc. to both external and internal customers. This will include supporting customers and partners throughout the EU with Protocol Analysers and other test and measurement systems. The Technical Application Engineer will be working closely with the embedded software and hardware development teams.

You will have completed your degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or similar and have several years of experience supporting customers and colleagues solving complex electronic problems within serial communications or similar product development projects. Your hands on skills should include a knowledge of electrical and electronic principles coupled with experience of using test instruments and you must be able to demonstrate a successful track‑record of solving technical issues while working closely with customer development teams. Any exposure to DisplayPort, USB, HDMI, PCIe, Bluetooth etc. would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will be working on client site periodically so must be happy to travel throughout the EU.

Candidates need to be fully authorised to work in the EU and be happy to be based in Germany. On offer you can expect an excellent base salary coupled with a bonus and a full benefit package.

You will also have the opportunity to work remotely (in Germany) but some trips to the office in Heidelberg will be needed.
