Process Technology Expert – Clean Chemical Innovation (Chemical Engineering) | Munich, Germany

On behalf of a cutting‑edge clean‑tech start‑up based in Munich , we are seeking a hands‑on Technology Expert to lead the development and scale‑up of a novel chemical recycling process—moving far beyond pyrolysis or gasification to unlock high‑value chemical building blocks from mixed plastic waste. This is not incremental innovation; you will be the technical authority central to the design, modelling, and operation of a breakthrough demonstration plant (100–200 kg/day input), working at the intersection of chemistry, engineering, and environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, modelling, and operation of the demonstration plant.
• Develop and scale‑up chemical recycling processes beyond pyrolysis/gasification.
• Collaborate across chemistry, engineering, and environmental impact teams.
• Shape the direction of the emerging clean‑tech leader.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of chemical or petrochemical engineering experience.
• Experience working with oxidation processes, PET (purified terephthalic acid) or acetyls.
• Strong background in reactor design, process scale‑up, Aspen or equivalent modelling tools.
• Practical leadership in cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Eager to operate in a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven environment focused on climate solutions.
