Your Role

As a Validation Engineer at Munich Electrification, you will be part of the Hardware Development team. You will be responsible for electrical and environmental validation and test activities of automotive battery components in house and with external partners. This includes the complete validation cycle, from identification of risk components, creation and justification of test plans & specifications in alignment with customer and internal requirements. Furthermore you will contribute to test setups and test automation activities. To close the cycle you will be responsible for planning and execution of validation tests, conducting lessons learned and trigger continuous improvements in cooperation with the development and production teams.

Your future tasks at a glance

  • Prepare and update the Validation Master Plans, Project Plans, and detailed Protocols for all validation and commissioning activities.
  • Specification and requirements management of environmental and electrical tests considering customer requirements and development of risk analysis tools under consideration of used technologies and required mission profile
  • Resource management of test and laboratory equipment in cooperation with project management and external partners
  • Perform complex testing, collect samples, and oversee/review the testing and reports generated by junior and contract personnel.
  • Analyze test results to confirm criteria are met and review/generate summary reports and documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all validation activities and documentation meet internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, ISO).
  • Advanced automation of test procedures and data analysis for test evaluation
  • Lead the lessons learned processes related to validation performance and field failures

What You Bring With You

  • Successfully completed studies in an engineering field (mechatronics, electrical engineering, automotive engineering)
  • Working experience in validation and analysis of electronics, automotive experience is mandatory
  • Strong background in theoretical reliability and robustness test methods is mandatory
  • Experience in the field of electronics design and manufacturing, ability to read schematics and drawings
  • Experience with Phyton test automation and data analysis is a plus
  • Highly motivated, willing to take responsibility and ownership of a project
  • Creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm for innovative electronics solutions for electric vehicles
  • Preference for working in teams and strong communication skills in English (German favorable)
