Job Summary

The Warehouse Outbound Team Lead at JD DEVELOPMENT DE GmbH will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of outbound warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment and shipment. This role involves leading a team, maintaining productivity targets, and upholding high standards of safety and quality.

Job Responsibilities

Supervise, motivate, and train a team of outbound warehouse associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Plan, organize, and monitor daily outbound activities including picking, packing, staging, and loading of goods.
Ensure all outbound orders are processed accurately and efficiently, meeting daily shipping deadlines and customer service level agreements.
Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Conduct regular quality checks on packed orders to minimize errors and damages.
Monitor and manage inventory accuracy within the outbound area, conducting cycle counts as needed.
Operate and maintain warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
Collaborate with other warehouse departments (inbound, inventory) to optimize overall warehouse flow and efficiency.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance outbound operations and reduce costs.
Prepare and present daily/weekly reports on outbound performance metrics to management.
Resolve any operational issues or discrepancies that may arise during outbound processing.

Job Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role, specifically within outbound operations.
Proven ability to effectively lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates.
Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck, pallet jack) with valid certification preferred.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and management.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
