This role offers the opportunity to shape the digital transformation of the retail industry through strategic solution engineering. The Strategic Solution Engineer will combine technical expertise, industry insight, and sales acumen to influence enterprise clients and drive innovation. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, delivering tailored demonstrations, business value assessments, and thought leadership. The position emphasizes strategic account engagement, industry-specific go-to-market initiatives, and leveraging AI-driven solutions to solve complex business challenges. Success in this role requires strong communication, technical proficiency, and a passion for enabling transformative outcomes in the retail sector.
· Serve as a retail industry thought leader internally and externally, shaping strategy and driving adoption of innovative solutions.
· Establish credibility and build strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
· Support pipeline creation, working with account teams to identify and develop new opportunities.
· Lead industry-specific technical go-to-market initiatives and develop compelling demonstrations, business assessments, and sales assets.
· Provide feedback from clients to influence product roadmaps and ensure alignment with market needs.
· Collaborate with global teams and partners to maintain consistency in messaging, competitive positioning, and ecosystem engagement.
· Educate internal teams on industry trends, challenges, and best practices to enhance collective expertise.
· Focus on strategic accounts, delivering scalable impact and industry-specific innovation.
· Meet or exceed quarterly and annual objectives as assigned.
Requirements
· 10+ years’ experience as a solution or sales engineer in CRM or similar enterprise technology, or extensive experience within the retail industry.
· Strong knowledge of data technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon S3, and Datamirror.
· Understanding of Cross Cloud technologies and AI-driven applications within retail.
· Demonstrated experience in driving transformational initiatives across retail organizations.
· Familiarity with relational databases, web technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
· Proven track record in solution engineering, consultancy, delivery, or enterprise software training.
· Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
· Strong time management skills and ability to work in dynamic, collaborative environments.
· Inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and industry best practices.
· Willingness to travel occasionally.
