We are supporting a highly respected international Independent Power Producer (IPP) in their search for a Team Lead (Wind Project Development) to oversee wind development activities in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. This position offers the chance to take on leadership responsibility in a well-established organisation with a proven track record in delivering renewable energy projects.

The Role

As Team Lead (Wind Project Development) , you will:

Lead and manage a team of ~10 land acquisition managers and project developers.
Drive the origination, negotiation, and securing of land rights for onshore wind projects in the Berlin-Brandenburg area.
Oversee the full project development cycle from site identification through permitting and approval processes.
Provide clear strategic direction, coaching, and performance management for your team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including grid, technical, environmental, legal, and finance to ensure project bankability.
Represent the company with landowners, municipalities, regulators, and external stakeholders.
Report to senior management on regional development progress and KPIs.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated leader who brings:

Proven track record in project development within the German onshore wind industry.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing development and/or land acquisition teams.
Deep understanding of German planning law, permitting processes, and stakeholder engagement.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills with landowners, municipalities, and regulators.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to drive results across multiple disciplines.
Fluency in German (mandatory) and English (advantageous).
