    This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Sigma Technologies, Ltd. We are currently looking for a Technical Solution Specialist - Power Line Construction & Remediation in United States.

    As a Technical Solution Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful design, construction, and remediation of power line projects. You will collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to provide technical guidance, resolve field challenges, and ensure projects meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards. This role combines hands-on fieldwork with strategic problem-solving, requiring both technical expertise and strong communication skills. You will influence project outcomes directly, mentor team members, and ensure solutions align with industry codes and customer requirements. The position offers a hybrid work model with opportunities to work remotely while remaining engaged in field operations in the Portland, OR area.

    Accountabilities:

    • Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conduct field assessments, troubleshoot construction issues, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
    • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to colleagues and clients as needed.
    • Coordinate design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with NEC and NESC electrical codes.
    • Maintain detailed records of technical decisions, field activities, and client communications.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with technical projects.
    • Manage incoming correspondence and ensure timely resolution of technical queries.
    • Proactively address potential technical challenges to ensure projects meet quality, safety, and schedule requirements.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and power line construction operations.
    • Strong understanding of electrical design, construction processes, and implementation challenges.
    • Proven ability to work directly with clients and communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple concurrent tasks.
    • Ability to work during core business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday) with occasional evenings/weekends as needed.
    • Willingness and ability to travel regularly, including overnight trips.
    • Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance meeting company requirements.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Authorized to work in the United States and able to pass background, drug, and driving record checks.
    • Physical ability to perform fieldwork, including walking long distances, navigating rough terrain, lifting up to 20 lbs., and working near moving vehicles.
