We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Trainer to develop and deliver high quality training programs for internal and external customers globally. You will be responsible for Shipboard Cranes training. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the relevant product and ability to think in an integrated manner, combining technical expertise with a holistic understanding of the product and their application. The location of this position can be any MacGregor Global Services Division location.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for internal service personnel and external customers
• Create training materials, including presentations, manuals, and online resources
• Plan and conduct training sessions through various methods in remote or in-person environment
• Collaborate with digital training experts to design and develop engaging training materials (presentations, handouts, simulations, etc.)
• Execute regular qualification assessments of service personnel in compliance with internal processes and relevant regulations, and maintain the certification and data in system properly and correctly
• Evaluate and continuously improve training programs, contents, materials and methods to be more effective
• Stay updated with the latest developments in merchant products, industry trends, technologies, and best practices and possibly incorporate them into training programs
• Train local frontline trainers, as needed and keep their accreditation
• Accept, execute and deliver other projects as assigned by you and/or your line management for the benefit of the company

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering field (mechanical / electrical)

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipbuilding or marine industry / products
• Experience in a technical / commercial role in service environment is preferred
• Experience in field service jobs is an advantage

Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Shipboard Cranes
• Knowledge of classification societies requirements, service process and documentation standards
• Proficient in creating and refining training courses and materials
• Ability in planning, facilitating, and completion of training sessions
• Pedagogical skills and ability to transfer know-how/experience (technical writing/presentation) is a plus
• Ability to interact and communicate well with people at all levels
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment as well as result-driven team player
• Commands respect and credibility, stemming from both experience and personality
• Proficiency in using training software and tools is a plus
• Good English skills, both written and spoken

• Responsibility for conforming to the Cargotec Code of Conduct, MacGregor QEHS statement, and instructions and requirements as found in the Integrated Management System
