Technical Writer / Specialist Systems & Software Documentation (f/m/d) 
 At IONOS, Europe’s leading provider of cloud infrastructure and hosting services, our technical writers work at the core of product development. You will partner with engineers, product managers, UX designers, and customer support to deliver clear, accurate, and actionable documentation that supports developers and cloud professionals.

 Tasks 
  - Own the planning, writing, and maintenance of technical documentation including product guides, tutorials, API references, and onboarding content for developers. 
  - Participate in sprint planning and collaborate across product and engineering teams throughout the feature lifecycle. 
  - Write and test instructions using the product yourself to ensure workflows are accurate and complete. 
  - Apply and evolve our docs-as-code workflow using Git, Markdown, and continuous integration pipelines. 
  - Use customer feedback, analytics, and usability testing to improve documentation clarity and usability. 
  - Provide guidance during content reviews, mentor less experienced team members, and contribute to internal documentation standards and style guides. 
  - Drive improvements to tooling, workflows, and documentation processes that enhance team productivity and content quality. 
   
 Qualifications 
  - Bachelor's degree in a technical, scientific, or communications-related field, or equivalent experience. 
  - 5+ years of experience writing technical documentation for software products or cloud services. 
  - Strong knowledge of documentation tooling such as Git, CI/CD, Markdown, OpenAPI/Swagger, and Postman. 
  - Experience working in agile development environments. 
  - Excellent command of both English and German, written and spoken. 
  - Ability to work independently and handle multiple documentation projects in parallel. 
  - Strong ability to analyze complex technical systems and communicate them clearly to diverse audiences. 
   
 Preferred Qualifications 
  - Experience improving documentation strategy across teams or departments. 
  - Familiarity with accessibility standards, structured content, and localization. 
  - Ability to evaluate and introduce tooling to support scaling documentation efforts.
