Trainee Lawyer / Rechtsreferendariat (m/f/d)

In Germany, around 70 lawyers at our offices in Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Munich advise national and international companies, insurance companies, and financial institutions, with a focus on insurance and liability law, dispute resolution, maritime law, data protection, transactions and regulatory issues.

Your Role And Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis across case law, secondary sources, and specialised legal materials for active client disputes
• Collaborate with our attorneys in drafting and preparing court submissions
• Maintain professional communication with courts, regulatory authorities, administrative bodies and notaries on ongoing matters
• Gain insight into litigation and arbitration strategy through direct involvement in case preparation
• Drafting documents as part of transactions and litigation, including facility agreements, witness statements and pleadings
• Communicating and meeting with clients
• Developing legal knowledge by attending both internal and external training sessions
• Managing workload as well as getting involved in pro bono

Candidate Requirements

• Outstanding legal skills, social competence and enthusiasm for working on exciting and international mandates.
• Independent and professional approach to work, as well as the ability to look for solutions beyond the legal horizon
• Possess excellent analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills
• Openness and enjoyment of contact with international colleagues from different cultures
