is responsible for leading and coordinating accounting activities across European entities with a strong focus on US GAAP reporting. The role ensures accurate and timely financial closings, robust SG&A cost control, effective internal controls and high-quality reporting to local management and US headquarters.

Key Responsibilities Financial Closing & Compliance (US GAAP Focus)  Lead and coordinate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings for European entities in accordance with US GAAP (and local GAAP where required)  Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and internal reporting requirements  Act as the primary interface to US headquarters on accounting and reporting matters SG&A Cost Management  Monitor, analyze and comment on SG&A expenses versus budget, forecast and prior year  Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for SG&A cost centers in close cooperation with business owners  Identify cost trends, deviations and efficiency improvement opportunities and prepare management recommendations Financial Reporting & Analysis  Prepare concise and meaningful financial reports, variance analyses and management presentations  Translate complex financial data into actionable insights to support decision-making

Process Improvement & Leadership  Drive continuous improvement and standardization of accounting processes across Europe  Provide functional and/or disciplinary leadership, coaching and development to accounting teams across multiple locations  Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Sales, Marketing, IT, Operations)

Qualifications & Skills  University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a comparable qualification  Several years of relevant professional experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in an international and US GAAP-driven environment  Strong knowledge of US GAAP; exposure to local GAAPs and consolidation processes is a plus  Solid analytical skills with experience in SG&A cost analysis and budgeting  Confident user of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and very strong MS Excel

skills  Fluent German and English (spoken and written); additional European languages are an advantage  Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills  Structured, detail-oriented working style and ability to perform under time pressure
