We are looking for a permanent, full-time addition to the Finance Global Services team at Hannover Re, headquartered in Hannover, Germany. The role is suitable for an Actuary / Mathematician / Computer Scientist Life and Health with the earliest possible start date.

Responsibilities

Further development of actuarial modelling and database applications used within the Hannover Re Group worldwide, with the aim of automating reporting and risk capital calculations in the Life & Health reinsurance business group as much as possible
Automation of treaty modelling for international locations, considering internal actuarial reporting requirements and (inter)national accounting standards for insurance contracts
Connecting international locations to the central actuarial system landscape of life and health reinsurance
Further development and maintenance of the actuarial systems used
Carrying out training courses on the use of the actuarial system landscape

You come equipped with

Professional experience in actuarial science, software development, or Life (re)insurance
Master's degree in (technical or business) mathematics or computer science
Very good knowledge of a higher programming language, ideally C++
SQL knowledge and experience with common software design principles (an advantage)
Willingness to undergo actuarial training (DAV) or already completed/at an advanced stage
Business-fluent English and conversational German
Conceptual skills and analytical thinking
Confident demeanor towards internal and external customers
Team-oriented mindset and enjoyment of working in a collaborative environment
