Accounting & Tax Specialist (m/f/d) – Frankfurt am Main

This role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy, tax compliance, and audit readiness, while supporting cross‑border business operations across Europe and reporting to headquarters in Korea.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review daily general ledger accounting and ensure accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements (HGB)
• Prepare and submit IFRS reporting packages to headquarters in Korea
• Manage and coordinate external audits (currently with EY), including handling all inquiries from auditors and tax authorities
• Lead and manage all tax filings (VAT, Corporate Tax, Trade Tax, Withholding Tax) in cooperation with external tax advisors
• Act as an internal tax advisor for projects across Germany, Europe, and non‑EU markets
• Liaise with external tax advisors on complex tax matters and ensure compliant and practical solutions
• Review project contracts from a tax and compliance perspective
• Support cross‑border business structures from a VAT and Transfer Pricing perspective
• Provide ad hoc support on accounting, tax, and finance‑related topics

Profile

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in Accounting & Tax within Germany (mandatory)
• Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of HGB (mandatory); IFRS knowledge is a plus
• Hands‑on experience in VAT and Transfer Pricing (TP) in cross‑border environments is a strong advantage
• Fluent in German and English (mandatory); Korean is a plus
• Strong analytical and structured thinking, with a solution‑oriented mindset
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Team player with the ability to work in a multicultural and international environment
