Advisory expert (m/f/d) high voltage

A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Advisory Expert in High Voltage Equipment, you will play a crucial role in guiding development teams to deliver advanced and high-quality technical solutions for power transformers, switchgears, insulators, and arrestors. Acting as an internal consultant, coach, mentor, and trainer, you will enable developers and managers to make favorable technical decisions. Additionally, you will represent the company in international standardization, support root cause analyses, and assist management and sales in challenging customer acquisitions. Reporting directly to the head of the development team within product management of Grid Technologies, you will collaborate with managers and developers globally.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Actively influence development teams by providing guidance and establishing clear guardrails
• Consult with management to facilitate favorable technical decision‑making
• Contribute expertise to root‑cause analysis teams for enhanced problem‑solving
• Participate in international committees (IEC, IEEE, CIGRE) to influence industry standards technically
• Train, coach, and mentor developers and managers to enhance their skills and knowledge
• Leverage broad knowledge of equipment interactions within the grid to improve products for customer benefit

What You Bring

• A completed university degree in a technical field with a specialization in high‑voltage techniques
• Long‑term experience in product development for power transformers, high‑voltage switchgears, or both
• Proven track record in international standardization efforts
• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical subjects to motivate listeners
• Strong leadership skills to guide teams technically without direct authority
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, along with a willingness to travel
