At ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS, we are looking for a highly experienced Senior Program Manager to take ownership of large-scale, complex programs in an international environment. This role combines strong delivery leadership with strategic stakeholder management and business growth contribution. As a Senior Program Manager, you will lead end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-stream programs while acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders. Beyond execution, you will play a key role in strengthening client relationships and contributing to long-term account growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of program planning, execution, and delivery
  • Manage scope, timeline, budget, quality, and risks
  • Establish and run effective governance structures
  • Provide clear and structured reporting to steering committees
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and quality standards
  • Act as the main point of contact for senior German-speaking stakeholders
  • Prepare and lead steering committees and executive meetings
  • Align business and IT stakeholders and support decision-making
  • Manage escalations and resolve complex situations professionally
  • Build strong, long-term, trust-based client relationships
  • Lead cross-functional and distributed teams
  • Coordinate internal teams, partners, and external vendors
  • Ensure clear delegation, accountability, and performance tracking
  • Foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities for program expansion and additional services
  • Contribute to proposals, estimations, and delivery planning
  • Collaborate closely with sales and account management teams
  • Support sustainable account growth through delivery excellence
  • Continuously improve program management processes and standards
  • Apply best practices (Agile, SAFe, or hybrid methodologies)
  • Capture and reuse lessons learned

Your Profile

  • 10–15 years of professional experience, including:
    • 7+ years in program/project management roles
  • Proven track record managing large, complex, multi-year programs
  • Experience with enterprise customers, ideally in German-speaking environments
  • Strong expertise in governance, financial management, and risk control
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and margin awareness
  • Fluent in German (C1+) and English
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in international and distributed environments
  • Structured, reliable, and results-oriented mindset
  • Experience with industrial, automotive, or manufacturing sectors
  • Background in digital transformation, IT, data, or AI programs
  • Experience in consulting or professional services
  • Lead strategic, high-impact programs for enterprise clients
  • Enjoy a high level of autonomy and trust
