Anti-Financial Crime Compliance Officer

We are partnering with a Significant Investment Bank that is looking for an Anti‑Financial Crime specialist to join their team in their German offices across Frankfurt, Munich, and Hamburg to take responsibility for their cryptocurrency business line. This is an exciting opportunity to act in an advisory capacity to the business, for all AML related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Review of payments, securities transactions and contractual partners for (inter)national embargo and sanctions regulations for crypto and digital assets.
• Processing of hit alerts in payment transactions while adhering to audit‑proof processes.
• Coordination with (international) correspondent banks regarding the implementation of sanctions prevention measures.
• Advising market segments on regulatory requirements, KYC/CDD and customer onboarding.
• Design of awareness training programs, updating of risk analyses and the AML/CTF framework.

Key Requirements

• Practical experience advising on cryptocurrency related topics, including regulations and transactions.
• Several years of experience in reviewing and implementing sanctions regulations as well as in the prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and corruption, ideally in international banks.
• Practical experience with AFC compliance monitoring systems, including audit‑proof case processing.
• Ability to work 5 days in the office , either in Frankfurt or Hamburg.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Germany requiring minimum C1 Level German.
