The Asset Service Engineer (m/w/d) plays a pivotal role within the Menck Marine Foundation R&M Operations Global department, ensuring the efficient management of Menck's rental equipment fleet and supporting aftermarket order fulfillment. This position oversees end‑to‑end service management for rental projects, providing both technical and operational expertise to coordinate and execute field service, repair, maintenance, claims, and warranty activities. Additionally, the role supports aftermarket sales processes and collaborates closely with key internal stakeholders, including R&M, Service Delivery, Operations Support, Sales, and Finance, to ensure seamless project execution and high customer satisfaction.

Duties & Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Menck Marine Foundations' vision, values, targets, and all relevant processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Oversee preparation, maintenance, repair, upgrades, and utilization of the Menck rental fleet, ensuring equipment readiness and minimized downtime.
  • Manage integrated service support for rental projects, including equipment deployment, troubleshooting, and coordination of spare/service materials.
  • Lead field service, repair, and maintenance projects for Menck and customer equipment, ensuring timely, budget‑compliant execution with high safety and quality standards.
  • Serve as project lead for offshore operations involving customer-owned assets, including service delivery, troubleshooting, repair, and spare parts supply.
  • Manage internal and external claim and warranty cases, ensuring efficient handling and collaboration across stakeholders.
  • Support development, optimization, and implementation of best practices, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives within the R&M organization.
  • Collaborate closely with Service Delivery, OPS Support, Engineering, Sales, QHSE, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and organizational alignment.
  • Support the definition and implementation of standards and policies in cooperation with QHSE and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in equipment management, ideally within the heavy equipment or offshore industry.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise, including experience in field service, repair, maintenance, and warranty handling.
  • Strong technical and operational understanding of equipment‑related services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a results‑driven mindset.
  • Experienced in team coordination and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for project mobilizations and equipment-related work.
  • Confident user of Windows 365 and equipment management software tools.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to maintain high performance and sound decision-making under demanding conditions.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities and the ability to maintain oversight across multiple projects simultaneously.
