Associate Consultant – Why choose this role?

The start date for this role will be in Summer 2026.

What you’ll do

As an Appian Associate Consultant, you’ll build and deploy web-based applications on the Appian platform to support our customers’ business strategies. You’re an expert on our software; from implementing the first business process management application to scaling up the program across the enterprise, you will bring our low-code platform to life.

What a typical day looks like for a current Associate Consultant includes:

  • Help build applications to solve a client’s business need, from kickoff to understanding the client and problem to planning and executing the technical process and steps to reach completion.
  • Collaborate with other Appian consultants on the same project to define the work needed to build out the application.
  • Work on one project at a time in a development team, with development often in Appian SAIL on the Appian platform.
  • Learn about the platform during academy training in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage experience in process improvement disciplines (business process management, knowledge management, personalisation, business intelligence, and application integration).
  • Construct, implement, and deploy process-centric BPM solutions based on Appian software.
  • Analyse a client’s business strategy and processes; develop technical solutions to support their strategy.
  • Design prototypes, model business processes, and analyse requirements.
  • Implement quality assurance, load testing, and rollout plans.

To be successful in this role

  • Understanding of at least one coding language with examples of applying that learning.
  • Strong academic record and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid foundation or passion for technology.
  • Preferred experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) and cloud technologies.
  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken).

Basic Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Math, Physics, or equivalent background.
