Our German business is led by a team of highly experienced MDs focused on delivering advisory services across Restructuring, Debt Advisory, Deals and Value Creation.
Role Overview
As an Associate in the Integration & Separation team, you will work with experienced colleagues to deliver multi‑stakeholder, international and domestic pre‑ and post‑deal advisory engagements. You will also help raise Interpath’s profile as a premier provider of Deals and Value Creation advisory services, directly assisting companies undergoing transformation and impacting their future success and growth.
Responsibilities
- Sell‑side and buy‑side operational due diligence, pre‑ and post‑deal carve‑out, integration, operational value creation, performance improvement & revenue enhancement, cost optimisation, day‑1 readiness & 100‑day planning, risk mitigation for clients and target operating model design.
- Applying established methodologies to help drive results and mitigate risks for clients.
- Collaborating on operational delivery, working with specialists to transform areas including sales, manufacturing, supply‑chain management, logistics and purchasing alongside experienced colleagues.
- Coordinating individual workstreams and communicating with internal teams to ensure progress and quality.
- Assisting in the development of pitch materials and conducting research to support thought‑leadership initiatives for private‑equity and corporate clients.
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Strong academic record and previous experience in a Big 4 or a management or strategy consulting firm is advantageous.
- Well‑developed financial and operational analytical skills and the ability to conduct deep‑dive analysis and build financial models with a structured approach to problem‑solving.
- Exposure to deals and a strong interest in building a career in consulting within operational value creation, performance improvement or transformation is advantageous.
- Native or business‑fluent German & English (C1) is essential; additional European languages highly desirable.
- Proven ability to think analytically and approach complex business problems in a structured way.
- Flexibility to travel when required for client engagements.
