Business Central Consultant (m/f/d)

Overview

You analyze business processes, translate requirements into well-designed ERP solutions, and guide customers through the successful implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central .

In this role, you combine functional expertise, technology, and consulting—from conception to go-live.

Responsibilities

• Consulting & Requirements Analysis: You capture, structure, and prioritize customer requirements in areas such as Finance, SCM, Logistics, Production, or Service.
• You create process designs, fit-gap analyses, and solution designs.
• You formulate user stories, concepts, and specifications.
• You configure and parameterize Business Central in the relevant modules.
• You work closely with development teams and coordinate testing.
• You support data migrations (master data, transactional data) and create corresponding migration concepts.
• Rollout & Enablement: You conduct workshops, training sessions, and User Acceptance Tests (UAT).
• You support cutover planning and go-live.
• You create training materials, process documentation, and system documentation.
• You further develop best practices, templates, and standards for our BC implementations.
• You support presales activities such as demos, effort estimations, and solution outlines.
• Optional: You integrate complementary tools such as the Power Platform or M365 Copilot use cases.

Your profile

What you bring to the table:

Must-have

• Several years of professional experience in consulting or implementing Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV).
• In-depth knowledge in at least two areas such as Finance, Purchasing/Sales, Warehouse/Logistics, or Production.
• Experience in fit-gap analyses, solution design, customizing, and test conception.
• Knowledge of data migration and interfaces (e.g., Dataverse, Web Services, Power Platform).
• Excellent communication and workshop skills in German; good command of English.
• Structured, independent, and customer-oriented working style.

Nice-to-have

• Experience in the SME sector, particularly in manufacturing or trading companies.
• Basic understanding of AL extensions.
• Knowledge of Power BI or Power Automate.
• Microsoft certifications such as MB-800 .
• Experience in BC cloud operations, AppSource, and permission concepts.
