Responsibilities

  • Commercial lead to grow our software business in the German energy sector (including energy supply companies & municipal utilities).
  • Establish vaylens backend as a known solution provider for the energy supply companies & municipal utilities and enable them to operate charging infrastructure efficiently
  • Forecast and track key account metrics, analysing trends to identify opportunities in the energy sector
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive sponsors, decision‑makers, and influencers within energy companies
  • Drive sales margin and revenue growth through upsell, cross‑sell, and proactive expansion within the energy sector
  • Ensure customer retention through strategic touchpoints, escalation management, and success planning with energy sector clients
  • Utilise the sales stack and our CRM to manage and prioritise activities for each account, ensuring that all customer interactions with energy partners are tracked and records are kept up to date and managed appropriately
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, customer success, finance, marketing, and product, to ensure our energy sector partners are receiving the best possible service and support

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, business informatics, industrial engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in SaaS sales, preferably in the e‑mobility or energy sector
  • Experience working with larger accounts/companies, especially in the energy sector
  • A proactive, independent working style with a "get it done" attitude
  • Knowledge of CRM tools, e.g., Salesforce
  • Based in Germany, with native‑level German speaking proficiency
  • Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills
